Fishing
At Dolgead Hall there is river fishing and pool fishing provided at no additional cost. The River Banwy winds alongside the caravan and lodge park providing a natural leisure resource. We stock the river with brown trout which are frequently caught. Young and old enjoy the fishing at Dolgead Hall and happily share advice, tips and fishy tales. The river also has grayling and occasionally salmon late in the season. Fishing on the river is restricted to fly fishing only.
We also have three pools for coarse fishing which are stocked with carp, roach, perch and bream. The pools have decked platforms for fishing and once again you can enjoy the magnificent scenery we are so lucky to have.
Golf Course
The nine hole pitch and putt golf course at Dolgead Hall is welcoming for beginners and yet proves to be challenging for the more experienced players. The golf course is maintained to a very high standard with well kept greens, bunkers and tees. There is also a practice net adjacent to the golf course. The panoramic views from the golf course are so spectacular that keeping your eye on the ball may prove difficult. Play a round of golf with friends and family and then a gentle stroll back for drinks at your own private holiday home.
Bowling Green
We have a 3 lane flat bowling green set adjacent to the games room and small patio area. It is well maintained and we provide mats and score boards. The bowling green is a popular way to while away the long summer evenings and frequent competitions are organised, which prove highly popular. Whether you're an experienced player or an enthusiastic beginner, the Dolgead Hall bowling green is the perfect place to practise and improve your game. Use of the green is completely free to residents of the park and it is available to use anytime that the weather permits.
Tennis Court
We have a full sized hard surface tennis court which encourages any aspiring Andy Murrays to practice and hone their skills. The tennis court proves most popular during Wimbledon fortnight but, due to the hard surface, the court is in available throughout the season. You could play a singles match with a member of your family, or maybe challenge some of your new-found friends from the park to a doubles tournament. Like all facilities at Dolgead Hall use of the tennis court is completely free to park residents and their guests and we strongly encourage you to make full use of these superb facilities.
Walking
Set in over 110 acres of farm and wood land there is plenty of gentle and safe walking on park.We boast one of the longest nature trail walks on a David Bellamy Award winning park. This on site, 2 mile nature trail can be easily shortened dependent on your preference.

There are many great walks in the local area, including the Ann Griffiths Walk, a seven mile walk down the Vyrnwy valley. You could join the Welshpool Ramblers, who take walks from Church Street in Welshpool every alternate Sunday. For the more adventurous there are the Berwyn Mountains and the Snowdonia National Park all within in easy driving distance the park.
River and Pebble Beach
We are very lucky to have the beautiful River Banwy running along the border of our park. We are only ten miles from the source of this river and the sparkling, clear water comes down to us from the rolling Welsh hills. With easy access to the river from the park it is greatly used by all our park residents. On a hot summers day children paddle and splash from the pebble beach or you will find fly fisherman trying to lure grayling and salmon. For the less energetic you can just sit at one of the many benches on the riverside, relax and listen to the water running along the rocky river bed. This great natural resource is just one of the many wonderful natural features of Dolgead Hall that our residents use and love.
TV Lounge and Library
We have a comfortable TV Lounge for over 18’s (or accomanied children) where you can enjoy meeting up with friends or relaxing in front of the TV. It's a popular place when there's a big match on and the atmosphere is friendly - whichever which side you support. Most of our park residents treasure the peace and quiet of Dolgead Hall, so we do not have a bar or club house on the park. We find that the TV Lounge, which is centrally located in the park, is a great focal point for those who wish to socialise. We also have an extensive book and video library which you are free to borrow from. We encourage residents to donate DVD's, videos and books to the library for the enjoyment of everyone on the park.
Games Room
We have a large games room which provides indoor facilities which include a table tennis table, a pool table, table football, darts board and a television. For rainy afternoons we have a selection of board games and jigsaws. You could challenge your family to a game of table tennis or make new friends with our other park residents over a game of darts or pool. If you prefer quieter pursuits we have a well stocked library of books that you can borrow, or settle down with a movie from our collection of DVDs. We are sure that whatever the weather you will always find something fun and interesting to do at Dolgead Hall.
